Methodist McKinney Hospital is a physician-owned facility.  This means that one or more physicians have an ownership or financial interest in this facility.  The physician who referred you to this facility for a surgical procedure may be one of the physicians that has an ownership or financial interest in this facility.  This facility maintains a list of all physician owners, which is available upon request. 

This information is being provided in order to assist you in making an informed decision about your care.  You are free to choose another facility in which to receive the services that have been ordered by your physician.

Since they are independent contractors, the facility is not responsible or liable for their acts or omissions.

Advanced Directives and Living Wills
You have the right to decide and communicate your wishes concerning your care, including your desire to refuse or accept life-sustaining medical treatment in the event of a serious illness or injury. TO ensure that your wishes are followed we ask that a copy of your advance directive or living will be placed in your medical record. Advance directives can be changed or cancelled at any time.

Methodist McKinney Hospital is an independent, legal entity separate from Methodist Health System, Methodist Dallas Medical Center, Methodist Charlton Medical Center, Methodist Mansfield Medical Center, Methodist Richardson Medical Center, and Methodist Hospitals of Dallas.

Concerns About Your Care
You have a right to be told about our policy and procedure on complaints. Please contact our president for additional information on how to submit a complaint, how complaints are reviewed, the time frame for review of complaints, when to expect a response, and the possible outcomes of complaints. Feel free to follow up with our administrator if your complaint that has not been addressed.

Patients may lodge a grievance with the Joint Commission Accreditation directly, regardless of whether he/she has first used the hospital’s grievance process.
